Please only apply if you have a minimum of 1 year experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager at a lodge or hotel.

Requirements:

• Malawi nationals only
• Highly skilled in housekeeping duties
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly organized, with great attention to detail
• Experience as a housekeeper in a lodge or hotel, as well as at least 1 year as a Supervisor/Manager
• Experience managing stock/linen stores
• Skills in procurement: ordering items for the housekeeping department

Desired skills: hospitality related training or qualification

Responsibilities

• To ensure the overall cleanliness of the lodge: all bedrooms and communal areas
• Manage the housekeeping team & their schedules
• Ongoing training for housekeeping staff
• Daily room-checks to ensure all rooms have been prepared to standard before guests check in and report and damages or issues
• Manage daily morning coffee service, morning room cleans and evening room turn-downs
• Proficient in housekeeping duties, as the Supervisor is the lead housekeeper and will also be allocated to cleaning areas: general cleaning, ironing, laundry
• Responsible for the laundry stores, stock take, keeping accurate bin cards and ordering housekeeping items in advance
• Lead guest introductions and showing them to their rooms, with an explanation of our services at the room
• Assist the Lodge Manager where required in administration and hosting duties
