JOB DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity

Save the Children is inviting applications from suitably qualified personnel to fill the position of  Office Assistant  for the Blantyre Office. The Office Assistant is responsible for ensuring the office is clean at all times.  He/she will also be responsible for stocking and replenishing consumables in the kitchen area.  Additionally, he/she will be responsible for managing the stocks of toiletries in the bathrooms to ensure that are available at all times. The individual will need to assist with managing the front office area from time to time.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

 

 

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education or Certificate in Secretarial Studies
  • 1 year experience working as office assistant/cleaner ; experience working with INGO will be an added advantage
  • Experience operating various office machines including computer
  • Able to speak and understand simple English
  • Able to write simple reports
