AIRFREIGHT OFFICERS FOR BLANTYRE AND LILONGWE OFFICES

Combine Cargo Malawi Limited intends to recruit Air Export and Import Officers tenable at its Blantyre and Lilongwe offices.

Roles & Responsibilities

• • To perform the operational activities related to processing of documents for Air Exports and Imports. This includes charging, costing and arranging the movement of goods and consignments, and flow of paperwork to ensure customs clearances are obtained quickly and deliveries are made in good time.
  • To coordinate and manage relationships with domestic (local) customers, overseas agents, partners,
    freight forwarders and contractors for smooth running of the business.
  • To be responsible for managing the full import and export process for a shipment for all accounts, from start to finish.
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time by Management.

Qualifications and Knowledge

The ideal candidate should have;

• • Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Transport
  • Background knowledge of Customs Clearance and Import/Export is essential.
  • Holders of IATA/FIATA Certificates and Dangerous Goods Certificate
  • A reasonable understanding of the Rules, Regulations, Processes and Procedures surrounding air
    freight shipments and Customs Clearance requirements.
  • More than 3 years’ experience working in a similar position
  • Ability to work in pressured and deadline driven operating environment.

• Trustworthy, with integrity, honest, Reliable, a team worker and yet able to work independently
• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills
• Those with knowledge of Asycuda System will have an added advantage
