Job Title : Microbusiness Manager

The Microbusiness Manager will be reporting to Sycamore Credit Limited Chief Operations Officer. He/she will in charge of Business Department by providing leadership to Relationship Officers (Loan Officers) that will lead to achievement of institutional goals. He/She will be responsible for business growth, portfolio management, and client retention.
The role will include:
- To oversee the day-to-day operations of the microbusiness section
- To assist in the expansion of Sycamore Credit Limited client base and achieve growth targets
- To ensure that arrears and defaults are maintained at or below targeted levels
- To develop a valuable relationship based and sales – oriented culture that maximizes productivity and fosters good staff morale.
- Planning, organizing, coordination and management of the execution process for destined results.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or marketing or banking or any other business related field with 3 years’ work experience. Diploma with 7 years of work experience or more working in a microfinance institution.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, particularly lending, credit and risk management.
- Good valuable customer relationship management skills
- Knowledge of economy/markets where Sycamore Credit Limited is operating
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong desire to work with the economically active and willingness to help creating wealth for Sycamore Credit Limited customers
- Experience in a start-up environment strongly preferred
- Proven ability to work under pressure and ability to embrace and manage change at all times.
- Natural communicator and relationship-builder, with excellent written and verbal skills in English
The position will be based in Blantyre. A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant commensurate with their qualifications and experience.
