Position Summary
- To develop and deliver the vision and strategic plan of Knight Frank Malawi, to lead and build a sustainable and profitable business in collaboration with the broader Knight Frank Group
- Reporting to: Managing Director Middle East and Africa, Knight Frank Limited Liability Partnership
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Winning New Business
- Ensure there is a well-structured business Marketing & Communications plan
- Build relationships with key clients and assist our fee earners to win new instructions
- Participate actively in industry groups.
- Responsible for measuring continuous evaluation of areas of market share to increase.
- Build Knight Frank’s profile in the market for market commentary and thought leadership.
- Establish systems and implement an effective cross selling\/referrals system.
- Building the Business
- Ensure there is a full business plan in place for the future development of the business including new ventures.
- Recruit the necessary leaders to achieve the business goals for the future.
- Ensure that the business/finances are appropriately balanced in terms of income diversification e.g. transactional vs Consultancy/Professional.
- Increase net profit margin and fee income in order to achieve financial goals.
- Enhance opportunities to engage teams to increase engagement scores.
- Managing the Business
Financial
- Ensure that annual budgets are established and managed, monitoring the performance against targets at a business unit level and where necessary set remedial action.
- Set revenue targets for service lines and ensure that client and Business Development plans are in place to achieve them.
- Implement the current strategy and ensuring relevant key performance indicators for each service line are met through regular business planning meetings.
- Conduct strategy reviews as required
- Manage annual budgeting, re-forecasting and financial target setting to ensure success against each service line’s agreed business plan.
- Review and interpret the management accounts each month
- Ensure that controllable costs are managed, and financial goals are being met.
- Implement relevant policies and procedures for applicable laws, regulations standards and industry codes.
- Review annual declarations of compliance and ensure that necessary mandatory education is up to date
- Be responsible for developing or adopting the necessary staff training around all legal and compliance requirements.
Brand
- Embed the Knight Frank brand and its values that make the business a success
- Ensure there is a clear and effective Employer and Employee Brand in the market to ensure Knight Frank attracts the right talent.
- Ensure there is a well-structured Marketing and Communications plan

Qualifications
- Degree in real estate property Management, Business Administration, or closely related field. A master’s degree is desirable.
- Over 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Real estate Property business.
- Registered member of either SIM, Valuations Registration Board and/or RICS
