Chibuku Products Limited, the manufacturer and distributor of opaque beer of Chibuku Shake-Shake, Chibuku Super, JIVE and other non-alcoholic beverages such as Maheu Super and Top 1, is inviting applications from passionate and self-motivated persons – males and females – to fill the following vacant positions below:

PRODUCTION CONTROLLERS

This position is tenable at our Blantyre, Mangochi and Lilongwe Breweries, reporting to the Production Manager. The Production Controller will be directly responsible for effective and efficient supervision and control of production. The position will also be overseeing the packaging department to ensure maximum output with cost-effective practices compliant with brewery Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Controlling costs and working within budget
• Managing and motivating staff to achieve targets
• Enforcing discipline, policy and compliance to procedure
• Reconciliation of production materials
• Handling a highly demanding packaging environment
• Supervising all production operations and quality control to MS21 Standards
• Planning, Deployment, supervision and training of staff on occupational health, safety and housekeeping
• Controlling movements of stocks between sections

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Environmental Sciences
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar position
• Must possess the following skills:

  o Team Player
  o People Management Skills -to lead, motivate and discipline
• Should be able to work under pressure and be prepared to work on shifts/weekends
• A team player capable of delivering high standards of performance
• Self-Starter with ability to adapt to on the job training and induction processes that will be afforded to the candidate
• Computer knowledge in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential and those with Syspro knowledge will have an added advantage
