PROJECT SUPPORT OFFICER (3) Dowa, Salima and Mchinji
OVERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Project Support Officer (PSO) is responsible for the management, implementation of the project activities as per detailed implementation plan. He/She will be providing technical support to the Case Workers in all the district assigned by the project. The District Project Coordinator will lead the project team under his/her jurisdiction, in implementing the Kuwala Ultra Poor Graduation project whose objective is to enhance resilience and sustainably graduate 2,750 rural households, including at least 45% women headed households and 20% youth headed households from ultra-poverty in Salima/Dawa/Mchinji districts.
The position reports to the Programme Manager and the Christian Aid Technical Lead person.
The position holder will adhere to the standards of conduct outlined in the ACT Alliance Code of Conduct and the Safeguarding Policy whose basic principle is “Do No Harm”.
The Project Support Officer is expected to be committed to the humanitarian goals and identity of the organization and will be required to contribute to humanitarian response activities in the event of an emergency.
Job Responsibilities
1. Project Management for Program Quality (50% of time)
2. Activities Management: Planning & Implementation (10% of time) Reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation (15% of time)
4. Financial & Administrative Management and Security (10% of time) Human Resources Management (15% of time)
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in development studies, Agriculture, Economics, Social Sciences, or any other relevant fields
- At least not less than 4 years’ experience working in program and management of Food Security/ Nutrition and Enterprise development related field.
- Proven understanding of social protection landscape including the Malawi National Support Program II (MNSSPII)
