BACKGROUND
Farmers World Limited wishes to recruit suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacancies existing in the business entity. Both are full time establishments.
Payroll Administration Manager (based in Lilongwe)
JOB SUMMARY
To ensure and enhance best practices in Payroll management, efficient and effective management and administration of the Compensation and Benefits structure
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Accurately update and process the Company Payroll
- Prepare instruction letters to banks, Pension Administrators, Group Life Administrators
- Prepare soft copy documents for submission to the bank for salaries and related benefits.
- Follow up on salary discrepancies and correction of the same
- Follow up on any updates required for the Payroll Management System
- Ensure Timely payment of PAYE for all Staff in the process, ensuring total adherence to all existing and guiding Tax regulations.
- Proper filling and archiving of Staff payroll and other staff rewards and benefits related documents.
- Review and update monthly MASM invoices for additions and cessations.
- Check and update staff loans, salary advances, to ensure no duplication of payments and that the records are updated accordingly.
- Manage pension and life assurance by processing new entrants, withdrawals, retirees with pension administrators, keeping in line and updated with pension regulators, changes in Pension Laws and directives.
- Assist in the processing of work permits.
QUALIFICATIONS (i.e. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS)
- Degree in Accounting/Business Administration or Human Resources Management with a minimum of five years working experience in handling payrolls for at least 500 employees.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS
- Experience in any Payroll Management System and other HR systems (Sage VIP, SAP, ERP, Aruti or Payspace) with hands-on knowledge of ESS functionalities.
- Excellent Oral and written communication skills and negotiations skills
- Excellent Computer skills, (special emphasis on Microsoft Excell, Powerpoint, SPSS)
- Be a self-starter, effective team player and demonstrated verifiable result-oriented track record
- An individual of high integrity who can.
