Duties and Responsibilities

• Conducting verification of bill of entries for compliance with Customs law and regulations and the set administrative guide lines
• Ensuring maximum revenue collection by closing revenue leakage through undervaluation, under declaration, Rules of origin, Misclassification/misdeclaration
• Conduct physical examination of goods
• Conducting patrols and mounting roadblocks to deter smuggling
• Supervising consignments; transshipment, temporary imports, re-exports and transits
• Checking Temporary Stores, Bonded Warehouses and other Customs Controlled areas
• Identification and profiling of risks in terms of revenue loss or processes and mitigation of such risks
• Coordinating with stakeholders and other agencies to combat smuggling
• Handle taxpayer complaints and feedback Prepare  reports

Qualification and Experience

• Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with Credit from recognized Universities in the following: Social Science, Business Administration/Management, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or Statistics.
