The Malawi Electoral Commission, “the Commission”, is a body created under Section 75(1) of the Constitution of the Republic of Malawi, to supervise, direct and preside over the conduct of all elections in Malawi. In accordance with Section 13 of the Electoral Commission Act, the Commission seeks to appoint suitably qualified persons with relevant experience to fill the following vacant positions that exist within its secretariat:

Job Title : Transport and Logistics Officer

Grade : C6

Responsible to : Senior Transport Officer

Purpose

Ensures efficient utilization and proper maintenance of motor vehicle

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implementing transport policies and procedures.
• Coordinating and scheduling service and maintenance of motor vehicles.
• Maintaining and updating of records in log books.
• Inspecting vehicles and ensures that they are clean.
• Maintaining primary records of fuel requisitions, issues, and liquidations.
• Keeping track of records on due dates for servicing motor vehicles.
• Keeping track on due dates for the renewal of insurances and licenses.
• Keeping attendance and errands records for drivers.

Requisite Academic Qualifications and Experience Desired

• Bachelor’s Degree in Transport, Logistics and Supply Chain Management

• Good attention to detail
• Communication Skills
