Role overview
The proposal development manager will support VSO to seek and respond to restricted funding opportunities – developing competitive funding proposals by coordinating VSO bid teams and acting as lead writer.
Skills, qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate should have proven experience of preparing compelling, high quality documentation for different donor audiences. You will also have proven track record in writing winning funding proposals for donors like USAID, EC, UKAID, SIDA and UN Agencies as well as experience in establishing and cultivating strong donor relationships that have delivered substantially increased income. You will be required to evaluate proposals and provide high quality analytical feedback to programmes, research on new funding opportunities and to make appropriate judgements about their potential to realise significant restricted income. Additionally you will be required to establish and negotiate partnerships between organisations; develop and write consortia proposals.
