The social development wing of Evangelical Association of Malawi (EAM) is inviting applications from qualified persons to fill existing vacancies in five of its Resilience and Gender based projects across the country.

The posts, are tenable in Salima, Nkhotakota, Neno, Karonga and Chikwawa districts

Project Coordinator

Tenable in Salima, Nkhotakota, Neno, Karonga and Chikwawa, the Project Coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the Program Manager and will be responsible for the implementation of climate smart related projects aimed at enhancing rural household’s income generation and resilience building of women and youth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support to all project staff to ensure that project activities are timely, efficiently and effectively implemented in accordance with the project’s documents and work plans.
  • Ensure effective coordination and linkages with project stakeholders such as District Council, NGO’s, traditional leaders, Community Structures
  • Coordinate knowledge management and learning initiatives for quality project delivery at community, District and National level
  • Ensure project resources/materials are utilized effectively and efficiently in meeting project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and compile accurate and quality weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual plans and reports (narrative, result framework and financial) as required by the donor and AM management

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of BSC Degree in Agriculture, Development Studies or any related discipline
  • Minimum 3 year’s field experience in coordinating Food security projects
  • Strong documentation skills and able to use a wide arrange number MS Soft ware packages
  • Good technical understanding of Food security, climate change and gender justice issues
  • Conversant with core humanitarian standards
