About Affiance Limited

Affiance Malawi Limited is a Joint Venture Company by Press Agriculture Limited, a company owned by Press Trust Limited in Malawi and the MGT Trust.

The Project incorporates 14 Estates totaling over 10,000 hectares.

The Joint Venture is transitioning traditionally former tobacco and grain Estates to Stevia Farms.

The Estates are in the Kasungu region of Malawi. The Project is the single biggest agriculture Project since 1978 destined to transition Kasungu into a major agriculture Hub.

About the Internship Program

Affiance Internship Program (“AIP”) is a 12-month program designed for current Third Year College and University Students or recent graduates.

The AIP design focuses on providing real-life work experience for students and graduates to develop the right expertise and work experience. The Program allows attendees to work alongside key personnel within Affiance.

The AIP is split into two parts,

Six Month Mentorship Program.

  • the Six Month Mentorship Program is the first part of the Program. During the first six months, Interns are assigned to key areas within the business and learn skills relevant to their qualifications. For the first 6 months, the AIP position is not paid. However, attendees may get subsistence for transport and travel when working outside their workstation. The AIP attendees are subjected to monthly performance reviews.

 

Paid Internship Program.

 

  • The Paid Internship Program is for successful graduates from the Six Month Internship Program. AIP graduates who perform exceptionally well may be offered a Six Month Paid Internship Program.
  • In this program, attendees may be sent to multiple sites including being attached outside Malawi. During the AIP part of the Program, attendees are connected to major assignments or projects.

Attendees that do exceptionally well at the end of the Paid Internship Program may be offered a full-time or contract position with Affiance.

Who can apply for the Program?

To apply for the AIP you need to be:

  1. Either in 3rd Year of your College/ University Program or be a Graduate
  2. Must be below the age of 25 Years
  3. Your course or qualification must relate to the following areas:
  • Agriculture (Agronomy, Crop Management, Horticulture, Soil/water conservation, Agriculture Marketing, Forestry Management)
  • Engineering (Water, Waste Water, Irrigation, Urban Planning, Survey, Road, Electrical, building)
  • Business Administration & Marketing
  • Accounting
  • Financial Management

 

AIP Recruitment Process

To be successfully accepted for AIP applicants must;

 

  1. Pass the Online Interview and Test
  2. Pass the in-person Interview
  3. Complete a Personality Test
