ICEED is a local organization with a mandate to economically empower vulnerable groups of people in
Malawi. We are looking to hire a Team Leader who will be responsible for providing leadership, strategic
direction and operational management of programs, with direct accountability to different donors.
Specifically, this includes satisfying all contractual obligations to ensure work is delivered on time and
within budget and monitoring and evaluation.

The position holder learns from and builds on best practices to develop evidence based innovative youth economic empowerment program and resilient livelihoods.

The position requires strong experience in programme management, team leadership, technical
assistance and Donor relationship management. Experience in proposal writing or program development is an advantage.

Qualifications and Experience:

• BSc in relevant discipline, including management, social sciences, Agriculture
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in Youth programing, project management, preferably with
  economically Strengthening resilience of poor and vulnerable households, and working with
  farmer groups and cooperatives
• Proven ability to manage multi- projects, demonstrable record of accomplishment of meeting or
  exceeding programme targets, while maintaining technical quality.
• Ability to represent ICEED at a strategic level and engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated experience of working with national level government structures, local communities
• Self-motivated and results orientated with strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Experience in management of finance and budget monitoring and risk management.
• Substantial experience of guiding and leading strong teams in a multicultural context with a focus
  on coaching and mentoring.
• Very innovative, ready to use best practices to improve programming and Commitment to ICEED
  aims, values and principles.
