The social development wing of Evangelical Association of Malawi (EAM) is inviting applications from qualified persons to fill existing vacancies in five of its Resilience and Gender based projects across the country.

Project Officer (Gender Based Violence)
Tenable in Karonga the Advocacy Officer will be responsible for the successful implementation of the Gender-based violence project that aims at creating favorable environment where women and girls are protected from gender-based violence through transformation of dominant traditional and religious norms, and access to specialized GBV lifesaving services. He/she will be answerable to the Project Coordinator
Key Responsibilities

- Contribute to the identification of GBV survivors in the project locations
- Provide mentorship to Gender Based Violence prevention assistants responsible for management of Women and Girls Centres.
- Facilitate prudent use of program resources.
- Work with District and community structures to ensure sustainability of the GBV Project
- Draft and submit activity and monthly reports
Qualifications & Experience

- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Development related field, or Journalism/ Communication, or Social Sciences
- At least three years’ work experience in Gender based violence related projects
- Substantial experience in qualitative report writing
- Good experience working with Church leaders, Churches or Christian organizations
