Malawi AIDS Counselling and Resource Organization (MACRO) is a locally registered non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 1995 to complement Government’s efforts in in the fight against HIV and AIDS and other health related issues. MACRO’s Vision is ‘A Malawian populace that enjoys good quality of life be it physical, mental and social wellbeing’ and its Mission is ‘to provide high quality HIV and AIDS and other health related services to the Malawian population.
With funding from CDC through Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF), MACRO is implementing the Achieving HIV Epidemic Control Through Quality HIV Testing Services: The PIVOT Project in southern and central western districts of Malawi. In order to efficiently and effectively execute its mandate, MACRO is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Site Coordinator tenable in various districts:
Position Overview
To facilitate and monitor score 95 project at health facilities. The Site coordinators will support facility level operations and provide technical assistance to HDAs and staff conducting HIV testing and case management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Diploma in Nursing/Clinical Medicine/Laboratory from a recognized institution
- Certificate in HIV testing services and/or HTS supervision
- Latest MOH Certification on Clinical Management of HIV and AIDS
- Minimum 2 years work experience in a project setting
- Managing HTS and ART related activities
- Previous experience in data collection
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Report writing
- Team management
- Conversant with Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
- Presentation skills
