The Central Medical Stores Trust (MST) is responsible for procurement, warehousing, sales and distribution of quality medicines and medical supplies to all public health facilities in Malawi. CMST now seeks to recruit Warehouse Assistants tenable at Regional Medical Stores (RMS) in the North, Centre and South.

Position : Warehouse Assistant
Grade : MS9
Reporting : Assistant Warehouse Officer

Overall Purpose of the Job:
Loading and off-loading of medicines and medical supplies, assembling, picking and packing for dispatch, and the general cleaning of warehouse space to achieve pharmaceutical warehouse cleanliness guidelines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning of the warehouse and associated areas
2. Loading, off-loading, batching and stacking of commodities in the warehouse
3. Picking, assembling, packaging and labelling scheduled orders as per pick list
4. Reporting to supervisors any identified errors on locations, including damaged, short dated and expired stock
5. Adherence to high levels of security guidelines
6. Ensuring that pallet labels are maintained on all products on locations and stock in bulk areas
7. Carrying out cycle counts and stock counts

Qualification and Experience:

1. Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
2. Minimum one (1) year of relevant work experience in a busy Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCGs) industry, especially in a health systems warehouse or logistics and supply chain environment

Attributes and Skills:

1. Trustworthy, punctual, with good communication, mathematical and interpersonal skills
2. Ability to work odd hours
3. Sound health and energetic
