The Times Group invites applications from suitably talented and qualified individuals to fill the position of Sports Journalist based in Blantyre.
BACKGROUND TO THE JOB
This position calls for a well – rounded media professional who can handle live sports commentary, sports reporting both on print and electronic platforms including anchoring and producing spots and other related programs. The following are the expected deliverables for the job holder:
- Live sports commentary
- Producing sports and other related programs
- Presenting sports and other related programs
- Reporting sports news on both electronic and print platforms
- Managing continuity shift.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have minimum qualification of a Diploma in jounalism or related media studies. A Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or relevant field will be an added advantage
- Must have excellent communication skills in both English and Chichewa
- Must be a good writer
- Must have a creative mind
- Must be digital media friendly.
