A Senior Financial Director/ CFO position has become available in Malawi for and experienced, ambitious and talented qualified financial professional with a min of 8 – 12 years relevant experience in senior financial management, 5 years of which needs to be at CFO/ Financial Director Management level. The individual should be highly skilled in all forms of communication – both with internal stakeholders as well as diverse cultures. Strong attention to detail is critical and be able to work with in and out countries.

This person will report into board and attend and manage board meetings. Deal with regulatory issues, deal with some aspects of the central bank because of FM issues and the banks themselves, deal with external suppliers, because they have to look to see how some of their products are bought externally from foreign suppiliers but the bulk is brought in country. Also look at capital projects in country where they the company may lose out out on money, so this person will need to know how to formulate those business cases and be able to say if it is a go not.

We are looking for a wholesome CFO, to work in country, also able to manage two teams.

Must have experience managing forex, on a rather larger scale.

Looking for someone who has worked on a larger scale. Must manage P N l, inventory management, collecting money from customers and collecting money from receivables, capex budgets, managing a large team, manage auditors.

The successful candidate should have the ability to handle a highly charged and dynamic workload from the start. He/she must be able to work autonomously on several projects at any given time and to communicate efficiently with colleagues located across the world. The role also includes responsibility for assisting country management with business planning, budgeting and strategy for a high growth and dynamic country organization.
