Alliance One Tobacco (Malawi) is seeking applications for the position of:

 MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

Reporting directly to the Planning And Leaf Accounting Manager, key responsibilities for the
successful candidate will among other things include the following:-

Key responsibilities include:-

• Consolidates budget responses from line managers for initial review by Planning and Leaf
  accounts manager
• Performs preliminary analysis of budgets as submitted by line managers
• Populates budget template and uploads into Khalix and SAP once approved
• Runs monthly departmental expenses reports from SAP comparing actual expenditure with
  budget
• Generates correcting adjustments for expense misallocations identified from departmental
  managers’
• Formulates templates for use by respective line managers in the quarterly expense reforecast
• Coordinates responses on the reforecast from different departments and consolidating the
  reforecast figures
• Analyzes the consolidated reforecast figures by comparing with the prior periods and projected trends for subsequent quarters and seek business justification for major variances
• Completes various analysis in evaluating new projects.

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes

• Relevant Degree in Accountancy and Certified Public Accountant or equivalent with at least
  five years post qualification experience
• Excellent computer skills, advanced masterly of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and
  other computer packages like SAP
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills
• Good working knowledge of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) and
  accounting systems;
• Ability to perform, monthly budget Vs actual analyses, generate user friendly section
  financial performance reports, detailed reasons for shortfalls and potential risks areas
• Ability to appraise, document and suggest cost saving initiatives in all operational areas of
  the organization
• Integrity, trustworthy and ethically upright professional in good standing with the Institute
  of Chartered Accountants in Malawi
