Purpose
The position exists to manage efficient tobacco and farm inputs logistics operations within Leaf Operations function. This role will focus on ensuring 100% stock accountability of all stock movements as well as timely dispatch/distribution to the designated areas in line with business plans. This role specifically assists in the planning and coordination of tobacco movement from buying stations to warehouses, and farm inputs to JTI growers. The position also assists to ensure compliance with all set policies including safety, system and operational procedures in all buying stations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure complete verification of green tobacco purchases for all buying stations through validation of all bale data capturing and weight confirmation against relevant documentation.
- Ensure all clerks abide by JTI policies and processes to ensure physical tobacco inventory stored in the warehouse are reflected in ERP system for easy reconciliation and traceability.
- Ensure effective supervision and monitoring of the performance of seasonal workers.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of key buying station/warehouse reports.
- Ensure efficient and timely distribution of farm inputs to JTI growers.
- Responsible for planning and maintaining good housekeeping according to the JTI set standards.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: REQUIREMENTS
- University degree or Diploma in Logistics or equivalent professional qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in warehousing and processing with a demonstrated knowledge of Leafpoint or any other system used for green tobacco accountability.
- Strong analytical skills and organisation with the ability to allocate and delegate tasks.
- Fluent in English (top writing skills) and working knowledge of any local language.
- Advanced skills in MS Office tools and programs.
