PentaP Group, a local GIS and Surveying Consultancy Firm, is seeking to hire a GIS Technician to be based in Nkhatabay District. As a multidisciplinary consulting firm, PentaP Group provides a wide range of services in engineering, project management, and information technology. The successful candidate will join our team and provide high-quality GIS data, analysis and map production to support our various projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, process, and analyze GIS data using various tools and software
• Create high-quality maps, charts, and other visualizations to communicate data insights to stakeholders
• Design and maintain databases
• Collaborate with project teams to identify GIS needs and develop solutions to address them
• Conduct field surveys and data collection exercises to supplement existing GIS data
• Provide technical support and training to other team members on GIS tools and techniques

Requirements:

• A degree in GIS, Geomatics, (this is a must have)
• At least 2 years of experience working with GIS data and tools
• Highly proficient in using GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
