The successful candidate will be responsible for the following. among other responsibilities:
- Researches on Revenue Assurance domain developments to proactively address revenue leakages and recommends interventions to the Chief Finance Officer.
- Analyses the business growth, development and performance (innovation, regulatory changes, customer and risk and compliance requirements) and takes corrective action
- Sets up the daily and weekly operational Revenue Assurance meetings to track performance and identifies the way forward
- Reviews, analyses, justifies and consolidates the budget requirements for Revenue Assurance.
- Monitors the budget on a monthly basis, identifies variances and takes appropriate action for the first line subordinates.
- Identifies revenue leakages and recommends preventive interventions to the business and the CFO
- Reviews and develops end-to-end controls to ensure timely detection of revenue leakages from Core Banking and allied Systems to Finance systems.
- Engages relevant divisions on possible quantifiable revenue leakage and where applicable implement corrective action.
- Conducts through continuous Revenue Assurance Audits and Controls Monitoring, Exception Reporting, Business Intelligence and Spend Analytics through business analytics software and tools
- Performs diagnostic reviews to identify revenue leakages (and areas of over-recovery of charges) by providing an end-to-end reconciliation for all revenue lines.
- Conceptualizes, develops and communicates data management plans in alignment with business strategy
- Drives data quality management, data standardization, data cleansing, data conversion, share-ability of data across business units.
- Identifies and defines the right strategies to integrate master data with other operational systems to leverage master data more efficiently and effectively across the Bank.
- Builds frameworks and quality control mechanisms to ensure highest levels of data integrity.
- Provides continuous enhancement and review of data quality and validation processes
- Extracts and analyses data from the Bank’s core banking systems to discover trends, patterns, or correlations and submits a report with recommendations to the Chief Finance Officer
- Degree in Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Banking or equivalent.
- Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in Data Analytics, Finance or related environment, four (4) of which should be in Supervisory level.
- Ability to lead, manage and develop staff and employees
- Ability to identify, communicate and ensure implementation of the agreed business objectives for the relevant unit.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and able to clearly present complex situations.
- Ability to plan and organise medium to long term ahead.
- Ability to analyse and solve complex problems to achieve the correct outcomes.
- Sound business acumen, resourceful and be a lateral thinker.
- Ability to negotiate, interact and achieve targets.
