We are looking for a highly skilled full stack developers who are comfortable with both front and back-end systems programming for our development center in Malawi. Full stack developers are responsible for developing and designing front end web architecture, ensuring the responsiveness of applications, and working alongside UI/UX experts for web design features, among other duties.

Full stack developers will be required to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling systems
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
• Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent
• Regulate exposure to business stakeholders and executive management as well as other authorities.
• Understand UI, cross-browser compatibility, and general web functions and standards.
• Create solutions for identified problems or bugs.
• Execute assignments with the use of web applications, scripts, and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
• Develop and validate test routines to ensure the quality of the external and internal interface.
• Plan and deliver software platforms and products across multiple organizational units.
• Design assignments with web services like REST, SOAP, etc.
• Evaluate written code to ensure it meets industry standards and is compatible with all devices.
• Accomplish company goals by accepting ownership of new and different requests.

Requirements and skills

• Proven working experience in web programming
• Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
• Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills to work on multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
• An understanding of software patterns and practices, affinity for developing unit tests with complete code coverage
• Modern web application development experience
• Must have foundational, logical and creative level experience with many technologies including .NET, ASP.NET MVC, WCF, Rest, WebAPI, HTML5, AJAX, JSON, JQuery, ServiceBus, RabbitMQ, TeamCity
• Experience developing web applications using .NET Framework and .NET Core
• Design build and maintain efficient and reusable code using design patterns
• Experience building and consuming JSON-based ASP.NET Web API services
• Experience in working with GitHub and SVN

Qualification and Experience

• Minimum Bachelor degree of computer science or relevant field
• Minimum 3+ years experience in similar position
