The social development wing of Evangelical Association of Malawi (EAM) is inviting applications from qualified persons to fill existing vacancies in five of its Resilience and Gender based projects across the country.
The posts, are tenable in Salima, Nkhotakota, Neno, Karonga and Chikwawa districts
Project Officer (Food Security)
Tenable in Salima, Nkhotakota, Neno, Karonga and Chikwawa, the Project Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the climate smart related projects. He/she will be answerable to the Project Coordinator and will closely work with government field staff and community structures in planning and executing various project interventions.
Key Responsibilities:

- Mobilising communities and forming farmer groups/associations for various interventions under Livelihoods projects.
- Day to day implementation of the Livelihood project through planning and execution of field activities
- Maintaining records of all activities and producing and submitting monthly reports to the Project Coordinator.
- Maintaining strong relationships with relevant stakeholders (government staff, church leaders, other NGOs, etc) within the project impact area.
- Ensure prudent use of project finances and other material resources
Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum of Diploma in Community Development, Development Studies, or related discipline
- Minimum 2 year’s field experience in facilitating agricultural related projects
- Skills in networking and collaboration with local partners, local community structures and religious leaders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook required
