BACKGROUND

Farmers World Limited wishes to recruit suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacancies existing in the business entity. Both are full time establishments.

REGIONAL WAREHOUSE MANAGER (based in Lilongwe)

Overall Responsibility

To receive, store and distribute goods from suppliers and onward distribution to the Farmers’ World branches. The position reports to the  Procurement and Warehousing Manager.

Functions

• Receives and checks goods from suppliers that they are in a good condition and that their quantity is correct versus the purchase order on a daily basis.
• Produces GRN’s for suppliers once goods have been received daily.
• Distributes goods to the Farmers’ World branches as per order requirements.
• Manages the warehouse staff and their productivity, including conducting performance reviews in line with company policy.
• Oversees receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
• Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
• Makes sure that all SGA are dully signed before collection of any goods from the warehouse.
• Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with company’s policies, standards and vision.
• Adheres to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.
• Maintains standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
• Manages stock control and reconciling physical stock with data storage system.
• Liaises with clients, suppliers and transport companies.
• Produces reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc).
• Manages the delivery notes, goods receipt note, tally sheets and IBTs (inter branch transfer).

Experience, Minimum Skills and Qualifications Required

• Diploma in Procurement/Supply chain management.
• Computer literacy
• Must have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Must be a registered member with Malawi Institute of Procurement and Supply
