Malamulo Adventist Hospital mission is to provide competent healthcare and training through skilled staff members, prioritizing the health of our patients with a special emphasis on spiritual care.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, committed Christians, willing to work in remote area to fill the vacant positions existing at Malamulo Adventist Hospital – Makwasa, Thyolo.

Position: Medical Officer /Physician

Qualification:

Applicants must be in possession of MBBS / Medical Doctorate or any other relevant field equivalent qualification obtained from an accredited University/Institution; and be registered with Medical Council of Malawi.

Duties

• Supervising any staff under him/her in their duties
• Diagnose patients’ problems and prescribe treatment
• Examining patients manually
• Referring patients to surgical or medical specialists as indicated
• Consult for, as well as mentor and educate junior staff
• Participate in morning handover daily for patient care and educational purposes
• Conducting CPD sessions for junior staff
• Aggregating, analyzing and interpreting data
• Disseminating information to all relevant stakeholders including submission of required reports to the designated officers
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or Medical Director
• Any other duties that may be deem reasonable for the post
