The Training and Research Unit of Excellence (TRUE) is a vibrant health research organization specializing in high-quality research especially in children and pregnant women. TRUE is seeking suitably qualified, highly motivated and hardworking Data Interns (9 Positions) to be based in 4 districts: Ntchisi (3 Positions), Salima (2 Positions), Neno (2 Positions), and Chikwawa (2 Positions). Priority will be given to applicants residing in these districts. The appointment will be for a minimum period of 2 months, which may be renewed depending
on performance and availability of funds.
Job Summary:
To transfer research data from printed/written documents to electronic database format, andperform checks on the quality of the data provided and entered into databases.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties shall include but are not limited to the following:

- To extract data from written/printed documents and enter in REDCap software platform;
- To verify data in electronic database forms against data in physical forms;
- To report any errors identified during data review to appropriate team members andassist in resolving issues with guidance from appropriate team leads;
- To re-enter amended data in REDCap software platform based on resolved queries;
- To follow standard operating procedures adopted by the data team;
- To maintain all equipment entrusted to him/her and report any break-downspreferably in good time for remedial actions to be taken
- To carry out any other duties assigned by the data manager and senior data officer
Qualifications:

- Minimum of Diploma in data-related field and those with work experience will have added advantage. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with electronic data capturing tools. Those with experience in REDCap will have an added advantage
- Skills in data management, entry, cleaning and query resolving
- Exceptional communications skills
- Ability to work in a diversified environment
