Purpose of the role

The role holder is responsible for overall coordination of the implementation of the Product Supply System (onePSS) through continuous process improvements using lean practices, and embedding sustainable cultural behavior change. The role will coordinate implementation and sustainability by working closely with the local Leadership Team, program Implementation Task Force Team, Process Leads – Team Leads, field production teams, the Regional Implementation Lead, Global Implementation Lead, Continuous Improvement Networks, and the Change Management / HR team.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

// Understanding of onePSS implementation methodology, lean content and change management approach, to successfully lead and sustain implementation.

// Act as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in lean practices and facilitate the continuous improvement journey with local teams.

// Review continuous improvement opportunities with the Implementation Task Force (ITF) and Site Steering Committee (SSC).

// Lead the adoption of continuous improvement / best practices internally and externally (network).

// Ensure change management requirements are being addressed and coordinate change efforts to implement and sustain improvement.

// Develop and review site key performance indicators that provide a clear tracking system on manufacturing performance and drive action.

// Provide oversight of processes related to product quality in cooperation with seed production management and other stakeholders including but not limited to the Global Quality & Compliance Assurance and Control teams.

// Lead quality and safety initiatives broadly and build a culture to maintain a healthy and safety Quality Management System (QMS).

// Develop improvement work studies and identify quality and performance opportunities, cost reduction and analyze the main variables of the process, proposing actions to the production team in the case of deviation / changes that may pose risks to production, quality, safety, and the environment.

// Promote discussion among plant representatives on good practices, performance results and new technologies for the production processes. Promote operational training when necessary.

// Responsible for updating of technical documentation and monitoring changes in processes through the Management of Change System (MOC).

Responsible for the roll out of the innovation and optimization projects in the plant.

// Conduct Lean & Six Sigma projects and provide leadership, prioritization and direction, acting as champion for other engineers and team members.

// Lead the justification of capital projects

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

// Undergraduate degree in engineering, management science, operations research, economics, or related fields.

// At least 7 years experience in manufacturing or agricultural production environments.

// Demonstrable competence in leading enterprise-wide projects and process improvement initiatives.

// Training and certification in lean six sigma, TQM, or equivalent process/quality improvement approaches.
