The Opportunity


As part of our global strategy to transform the lives of 100 million girls, Plan International hosts and co-chairs a new innovative multi-stakeholder coalition for adolescent girls. We are seeking a Project Manager to join the Partnerships Team to lead the development, upscaling, design and implementation of the second phase of the Adolescent Girls Investment Plan (AGIP) and its related projects.

As the AGIP Project Manager you will work cross organisationally and with multiple external partners at CEO and senior technical level. You will lead technical meetings and shape board agendas for the AGIP, collaboratively lead and develop the AGIP strategy and roadmap, project plans and resourcing strategies. You will also ensure key project milestones are met during the second phase of the project.



The Individual


We are looking to recruit an individual with strong strategic project and partnership management experience who also has knowledge of current issues and trends in international development and the Girls’ Rights space. You will need to have knowledge of research, advocacy, policy and/or fundraising and experience of working in a multicultural environment and in participation with networks and coalitions.

With excellent written and spoken communication abilities, as well as effective relationship management and collaboration skills within a complex organisational setting.

Location: Flexible location, in most locations where Plan International has a legal entity and you have the pre-existing right to live and work. Our preference is for the person to the based in one of our programme offices, closest to the point of impact.

Type of Role: 12-month fixed term contract

Reports to: Head of Partnerships Development

Salary: We will be happy to disclose the salary and applicable benefits to applicants as part of this process, however, please kindly note that this will  vary according to the location of the appointed candidate  and therefore, it is not possible to include full details here. If the suitable candidate were to be based in the UK the salary range would be £37,803 – £47,254
