Counterpart International is currently seeking a Public Resource Management Expert to support the Strengthening Parliament’s Role in Malawi’s Development (SPRID) NOFO in Malawi. This activity will be a multi-year with an estimated celling of $11.7 million. The goal of the activity is to support the effectiveness and independence of Parliament by providing technical support to selected constitutional and standing committees, coordination between parliament and statutory oversight institutions around public integrity issues, and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and media’s demand for accountability.


Primary Responsibilities:


This individual will lead in providing technical assistance to the legal division of the national assembly. S/he will work closely with the Legal Affairs committee and relevant staff to build their capacity for legislative reviews and drafting.


Qualifications and Experience:


S/he will have the following qualifications and experience:


  • University/College degree or higher in Law.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience with the legislative drafting process.
  • Demonstrated expertise in parliamentary legislative processes.
  • Prior experience working to strengthen the capacity of parliament on its legislative function.




  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required.
