Background for Umunthu Medical Clinical
Umunthu Medical Clinic is an urban clinic based in Chilinde, Lilongwe offering comprehensive primary healthcare services
The clinical officer will be responsible for provision of clinical services at the clinic.
Patient assessment and management of signs and symptoms
Interpretation of basic laboratory and radiological test.
Ensuring timely referrals of patient cases that need specialized care
Ensuring accurate patient records and registers
Report writing. Must ensure good standards for quality, customer service, health and safety.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution
- Registered with the Medical Council of Malawi
- Must be of sober mind with good standing with the medical council
- Adequate ART Training and up to date knowledge
- Ability to carry out minor procedures
- Minimum of 2 years prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting
- Those with experiences in reproductive health will be preferred
- Must be a self-starter with ability to work under minimal supervision
- Good communication skills in booth English and Chichewa
- Must be a reliable team player with good problem solving skills
- Must be proficient in the use of computers and IT packages including word and excel
