Job Description

Job Summary

Develops and supports the monitoring, evaluation and learning of projects through integrated and strategic evidence based practices. Evaluates designs, sampling plans, survey instruments and protocols, and work plans by collecting data and analyzing information. Monitors project activities, outputs and progress towards anticipated results. Works with various statistical databases and select technologies to capture and organize data. May develop recommendations, improvement and enhancement solutions based on findings; prepares key reports for internal and external audiences.

Career Level Summary

A Director typically manages a department or small unit that includes multiple teams led by Senior Managers, Managers and/or Team Leaders. Develops budgets, schedules, and performance standards.

Responsibilities typically include:

• Ownership of short- to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the department. Establishes operating policies and procedures that affect departments and subordinate sections and work units. Interprets company-wide policies and procedures. • Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis. Decisions have an extended impact on work processes and outcomes. Erroneous decisions result in critical delays and modifications to projects or operations; cause substantial expenditure of additional time, human resources, and funds; and jeopardize future business activity. • Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership. Interacts frequently with internal and external management and senior level customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or contractual clarifications. Leads briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree + Fifteen years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + Twelve years of relevant experience, or PhD + Ten years of relevant experience
