COUNTRY DIRECTOR
Children of the Nations (COTN) – Malawi is a Christian organisation committed to “Raising Children Who Transform Nations.” COTN Malawi is seeking a dynamic, experienced and values-driven Country Director to provide strategic leadership and overall management of the organisation in Malawi.
THE POSITION
The Country Director will provide strategic and operational leadership to COTN Malawi in accordance with the organisation’s vision, mission, strategic plan and policies, working closely with the Board of Trustees and the COTN International Office.
The successful candidate will provide overall oversight of COTN’s programmes and operations, including strategic planning, programme management, financial management, human resources, resource mobilisation, risk management, safeguarding, stakeholder engagement and organisational development.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Development Studies or a relevant field.
- A professional qualification in management, finance, accounting or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, including significant experience at senior management level.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic leadership, organisational and operational management.
- Experience in programme management, financial management, budgeting and resource mobilisation.
- Experience in Human Resources management and staff development.
- Experience working with children and/or vulnerable populations, with a sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
- Experience working with national or international NGOs, development partners and other stakeholders.
- Experience working effectively in a multicultural and cross-cultural environment.

- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A valid driving licence.
